The increasing complexity of diabetes care and dynamic nature of the healthcare environment has created unique opportunities for the DCES to demonstrate leadership and drive change. This presentation introduces the Value Pathway for DCES and highlights the many opportunities to show our value across the continuum of care and will provide background and examples of how the diabetes care and education multidisciplinary specialty can serve as change leaders. The presenters will highlight the many opportunities DCES have to serve as experts in the healthcare system. Change leadership is an active process that requires us to collectively lead the vision and strategic plan framework in our work environments and in our communities to both articulate and demonstrate our worth.
