Gestational Diabetes (GDM) is the most common medical complication of pregnancy with 1 in every 6 pregnant women in the United States developing GDM. In the setting of the COVID-19 pandemic, it became an immense challenge to accommodate this high volume of patients at our medical center for DSMES in a timely fashion. Our DCES team came up with the idea to offer group classes on Zoom to meet this increased demand. This session will discuss the process of gaining buy-in and support while planning, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive online program for newly diagnosed women with GDM at an academic medical center in New York City.
