As DCESs, we know that food can be powerful medicine. The 2022 Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes recognize that vegetarian and plant-based eating patterns have positive outcomes on T2D. This session will help you enhance your “diabetes tool kit” and increase your confidence in introducing patients to plant-based eating as a healthy, simple meal planning option. The presenter will review case studies, research, expected outcomes, educational materials and specific meal pattern recommendations to help people with diabetes succeed.
