Diabetes advocates actively work to increase public awareness of diabetes-related policies and legislation, pass diabetes-related legislation, and improve diabetes-related policies at the state, federal and local levels. This session will examine the history of these policy changes and demonstrate how the work of advocates results in these desired changes. This session will address opportunities for future advocacy work.
