ADA recommends weight loss and moderate physical activity for T2D. Because one size doesn't fit all, this session will review an alternative approach that focuses on reducing post-prandial glucose, which is associated with the reduction of A1C and diabetes complications. The presenter will discuss Glycemic Excursion Minimization (GEM), a well-documented alternative intervention.
