The DCES' role is rapidly evolving. However, as a subject matter expert, it is important for the DCES to be an integral part of the fast-changing environment within health systems to help drive practice and care. This session will review value-based healthcare, the DCES' role within the health system as organizations move into the 21st century, and how recognizing changing leadership structures and the improved transparency of data will also be significantly impactful to achieving improved health and increased value to the person with diabetes.
