Language is powerful and plays an important role in how individuals conceptualize their condition and its management. Language can impact the motivation, behaviors, and outcomes for people with diabetes, mental health issues, increased body size, and/or eating disorders. In this session, participants will learn person-first, strengths-based and collaborative language in the treatment of diabetes, mental health and eating disorders/body size.
